The Advent of Market-Led Growth: Shaping the Future of SaaS

Hello and welcome to the inaugural post on my new blog, "Market-Driven." For those of you who might not know me, I've spent the better part of the last decade coaching SaaS CEOs on their go-to-market (GTM) strategies. With close to 100 CEOs under my wing, I've seen first-hand the challenges they face and the transformations the SaaS industry has been going through.

In recent years, I've observed a significant shift in the way SaaS companies grow. Traditionally, the SaaS world has relied on Sales-Led Growth and Product-Led Growth strategies. While these methods have proven successful in the past, the changing landscape is revealing their limitations. The cost economics of Sales-Led and Product-Led Growth are increasingly making less sense, creating a pressing need for novel GTM strategies.

That's where the concept of Market-Led Growth comes into play.

Market-Led Growth is a more collaborative method that leverages the power of the market (and its participants) to drive the growth of your company. It brings together different companies (customers, partners, developers, large ISVs) in a collaborative GTM model that accelerates growth.

But why start this blog?

Despite my deep engagement with the SaaS industry, my time and resources are, unfortunately, finite. I realize that I can only directly coach a limited number of CEOs, yet there are so many more entrepreneurs building the next generation of SaaS companies. They all deserve access to valuable insights and advice. Hence, this blog was born.

Through "Market-Driven," I aim to democratize the knowledge I've gained over the years and share with you the insights, strategies, and trends that are shaping the SaaS world today. My goal is to help you understand the essence of Market-Led Growth and, more importantly, how to effectively incorporate it into your own business strategies.
